Hello Asheville!

In preparation for my annual Stoobie Awards for the Best of Asheville, I posted the following list on FaceBook, and asked my readers to post a similar list in the comments section underneath. I figured, who doesn’t love making a list? I know I do.  Here’s mine…

MY TOP 10 RESTAURANTS IN ASHEVILLE
(as of October 28th, 2015, not in order of preference)

Underneath, I wrote, “There you go. Boom. Top ten. When it comes time for the actual Stoobies, who knows what could happen, everything could change, nothing could change, I could just put them in order of preference, or I could get hit by a train and fucking DIE! You just never know!”

Then I added “In the meantime, please tell me your top ten restaurants in Asheville, or your top 3 or 5 or whatever size list you wanna come up with.”

YEAH, MAN! The Food Fans have Spoken and they have presented to you their TOP TWENTY Restaurants in Asheville! It’s a great list, and I love that it’s so diverse, including some of the fanciest, as well as some of the homiest places in town. And a doughnut shop. Great job, Everybody!

Below are just a few of the personal lists that the local Food Fans posted, some folks even provided tags, which I love, because they transfer when you cut-n-paste from FaceBook to WordPress.

Kelly PHomeGrown, Rockys Hot Chicken Shack, Zambra, Mamacita’s Taqueria, Bouchon, Blue Dream Curry House..and all the ones on your list as well. we are truly lucky to have such fine offerings! Many of these listed are Living Wage Certified as well, so our community benefits in multiple ways!

Eric BC – Cúrate, Buxton Hall Barbecue, Glass Onion, Chestnut, Wicked Weed Brewing, EarlyGirlEatery, The Market Place Restaurant, Buffalo Nickel, White Duck Taco Shop and Ambrozia Bar + Bistro are all my favs. No particular order, each for different reasons. I hope to get to Smoky Park Supper Club soon and add this to the list. So much can influence this list, food, service, value, company during visit, celebration…it all makes for great dining. We are lucky to have so many great choices.
