AVL Food Fans #19 – “Into the Black Coffee Abyss” might be the most fun that Joe and I have had doing the show so far. He was in great form, cracking us all up a bunch of times. Our special guest Lindsay Lee from Counter Culture Coffee was great, and we learned some stuff about coffee and life that we didn’t know.

At the beginning of the show, we delivered the Food News with the help of Lucy Murphy from the Asheville Independent Restaurant Association, which included stories about MANNA FoodBank, The Bull and Beggar, Laughing Seed Cafe, Mellow Mushroom Asheville, Isis Restaurant and Music Hall, Kroger, The Fresh Market, Asheville Wine & Food Festival, Valet Gourmet, Mamma’s, Carolina Mountain Cheese Fest, Gàn Shān Station, Chai Pani, Bonfire Barbecue, Buffalo Nickel, Copper Crown, the James Beard nominees, the Asheville Coffee Expo, and of course, a CAT CAFE UPDATE! (No update.)

At the end of the show, Joe and I talked about a few places that we ate, including Rhubarb, Chupacabra Latin Cafe, Table Asheville, The Imperial Life, Cucina 24, Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar, Strada Asheville, Chocolate Gems, and Zambra.
