Below please find my review of my first meal back inside of Buxton Hall Barbecue, which has been closed to indoor dining for well over a year, and was closed for ALL service for over a month! It was killin’ me! They recently reopened and debuted a new menu, I was there on day 2 of their reopening, and tried three of their new dishes.

REVIEW
BUXTON HALL BBQ

I went to Buxton Hall Barbecue. I’ll tell you more after my nap.
UPDATE: Okay, I’ve recovered somewhat. Ooftah! I purposely over-ordered because I wanted to try a bunch of stuff, and I did bring a ton of this home for later, but I ate like I have healthcare, that’s for dang sure. LOL
First of all, they do a “bread service” of hush-puppies now! For real. They bring you some pups, on the house, just to get you started. Now, I should say, if I ate three hushpuppies, I’d be finished! LOL I ate one, and it was excellent. I’ve always been a fan of Buxton’s puppies, and they were better than ever.
For an appetizer I ordered some Saucy Smoked Sausage Burnt Ends in chipotle glaze, with house made pickles. Holy fuck, Y’all. These are the greatest fucking thing I have ever eaten in my fucking life. The house made sausage is soooo good, and the sweet ‘n’ spicy glaze is where it’s AT. The pickles from Buxton have always been excellent, and still are. This was my fave dish of the meal.
Next I ordered a Buxton Summer Salad, and daaang, Yo. It was HUGE. Like the size of a small planet. It had bibb lettuce (I tucked a piece into the top of my shirt), candied pecans, peaches, and some supremely creamy and delicious goat cheese. Add a light sherry-maple vinaigrette, and this was one hell of a salad, Very high recommends.
Finally, came the Smoked Bacon Turkey Club, which was a wild wild beast of a sandwich. I ended up kinda pulling it apart like a four year old, and eating the innards with my food weapons. I felt bad for the guy sitting next to me at the bar. I’m absolutely sure that I was entirely covered in sandwich, and loudly licking my fingers up to my elbows by then.
I had to skip dessert because I was fit to burst, so I boxed up my leftovers, and the bartender made me and the guy next to me some “house made wet naps” out of paper towels, water and lemon juice.
I guess I got sandwich on the guy. I dunno.
Anyhoo, it was great to be back inside Buxton! The food was bomb AF, the service can’t be beat, and I’ll be back soon to try more of their new menu! Yay!

Hey! This has nothing to do with Buxton(sorry) but I couldn’t find a place to leave a message.
You should really check out the new kitchen at the Odditirium! It’s actually really awesome! They have the best freakin cheese steak, a fried pickle basket, which has an assortment of pickled veggies! And they do a take on McDonald’s Mcfish and it is fucking awesome! They deserve a shoot out because they have even recently opened for lunch!
