A review of my first meal back inside of Buxton Hall Barbecue, which has been closed to indoor dining for well over a year, and was closed for ALL service for over a month! It was killin’ me!
I began writing this column in the weeks leading up to the City-wide closure of restaurants, and the state-wide stay-at-home order. Obviously, the food scene in Asheville, along with everywhere else in America, came to a screeching halt, and my own life changed tremendously due to the run-away Coronavirus here in the States. So, I’m just now getting around to finishing this post up now, in late May. I will indicate where Thank you for your patience.
There’s so much great food in this town, it’s hard to pick “The Best,” but here’s the absolute cream of the crop of what I ate in the month of February 2020!
SUNDAY BRUNCH AT BUXTON HALL! Food so good it brought a tear to my eye, for real. Biscuits ‘n’ gravy with cheddar sausage, taters, and collard greens, and a SUPER STAR cinnamon roll.
