The way it worked: The 12 Contestants ate 8 increasingly spicy hot slices of pizza created by evil genius, Chef Tom LaFauci. The spice-levels on the pizza went from “ho-oh-oh-ly shit that’s hot,” to “I’ve left my body,” to “Time is moving really really really slow and I think I might be dead.” The audience purchased raffle tickets and used them to “place bets” on the contestant(s) they wanted to to see win the contest! Contestants tapped out 1-by-1 , until there’s only one left standing: Officer Robert Crume from APD!
We raised over $1,000 that night, and the winnings were shared 50/50 between Meals on Wheels & Brother Wolf the charity of the winner’s choice.

What is the plan for the event? Do we need a reservation? I’d like to meet the pizza makers and also eat some pizza. Will there be any free food?

Reservations aren’t required for the event at Soprana, or for the Hot Slice Contest later in the week at Twisted Laurel! Just show up between 5pm – 9pm for the launch party and between 5pm – 7pm for the hot slice contest! There will be plenty of pizza available, not for free, because a portion of sales are going to charity. Bounty & Soul and Meals on Wheels. Thanks, Andrew, I hope to see you there!
