Chef Mike is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, and he’s a great seafood chef, who has felt a calling from the sea, working at The Trap for close to a decade! You can read about a meal and conversation with him recently by clicking HERE.
Gina Smith is the editor and a writer for the Mountain Xpress‘ food section. We interviewed her (and Mtn X writer Johnathan Ammons) on Episode #10: Pumpkin Spice Radio (Oct 20, 2015) and she’s scheduled to come back to interview me and Joe this time.

May 17th – Episode #25 – Dan and Jael Rattigan from French Broad Chocolates
Who the fuck hasn’t heard of French Broad Chocolates?!? Whaddyaliveunderarock? One of the most famous and successful businesses in all of Asheville was started by these two people. Dan and Jael are gonna come on and tell us about their secrets to success… which hopefully involve bringing chocolates to podcasters.

May 31st – Episode #26 – 1 Year Anniversary! Mikey Files from Chai Pani / MG Road / Buxton Hall BBQ
Mikey was our very first guest, on Episide #1: The Pilot Episode! (June 02, 2015) so we asked him back for our 1 year anniversary episode! Mikey does branding, PR, and promotions, for three of the coolest and most successful establishments in town: Chai Pani, MG Road, and Buxton Hall BBQ.

June 14th – Episode #27 – Andy Gibbon from Dynamite Roasting Co.
Andy from Dynamite is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet! He and his business partners really cares about coffee, people, the planet, and all the things that good people care about. We’ll ask him how he got started and for some insights into the coffee biz!

June 28th – Episode #28 – Chef Elliott and Jennifer Moss from Buxton Hall BBQ
Everyone knows that I’m crushing on Chef Elliott, so this should be super-awk. We’ll talk tot he Chef and Jennifer Moss about the food at Buxton Hall of course, but also the logistics of opening and running such a large restaurant.

Also joining us as a third guest is Chef / Author Chris Hill from Atlanta! Chris has written a book, comprised if interviews with “elite chefs – Frank stitt, Jeremiah Tower, Dominique Crenn, Gavin Kaysen and many more” to unearth this idea of ‘success’ in the chef world – what is it and what do all of these high achievers in their careers (and lives) have in common.” The book is titled “Making the Cut: What Separates the Best From the Rest,” and is slated to be published in May 2016. Stu Helm is an artist, writer, and podcaster living in Asheville, NC, and a frequent diner at local restaurants, cafes, food trucks, and the like. His tastes run from hot dogs and mac ‘n’ cheese, to haute cuisine, and his opinions are based on a lifetime of eating out. He began writing about food strictly to amuse his friends on Facebook.
